Usage and example of PHP fstat() function

The fstat() function can return information about the opened file.

Syntax

array fstat ( resource $handle )

This function can collect statistical information about the file opened by the file pointer handle. Similar to the stat() function, the difference is that it can operate on the opened file pointer (not the file name).
